"Who would believe this without data? Our top three labor productivity constraints are so-called best practices. That makes us the bottleneck. "

This service begins just like a Project Initiative, yet the intention from the outset is to limit the expense to a discretionary level, and to utilize members of the client organization so as to give them hands-on experience with humaneering. The effort is entirely authentic, and could be continued as a Project Initiative with no waste of resources.
You select the target (a role/job or people-dependent process, function or operation), objective (increase performance or productivity, resolve a people problem, make managing easier), and budget. And you select up to 10 volunteers from your organization who want to participate directly in the experience for most of 2 to 4 weeks. We briefly train these participants and work with them as we work with our own staff. [At your option, we will use our own staff if your people prefer to observe the process without participating directly.]
This service is budget-limited to Phase 1 Project Initiative activities (work system assessment), and intentionally will not extend to Phase 2 activities (solution testing and implementation). Work system assessment consists of (a) data gathering (primary and secondary) and analysis and (b) data synthesis and system mapping.
The budget may not allow submission of the data to the Humaneering Institute's INSIGHT decision-support system for more precise data synthesis and work-system optimization, yet the level of data analytics performed on site is itself compelling. Even with the intentionally incomplete assessment, this service concludes with a collaborative interpretation of the work-system assessment data and value-ranking of improvements opportunities.
This service includes 3 months of unlimited follow-up email and phone support.
One of our Humaneering Institute IP-licensed professionals will lead this effort, supported by one or more of our humaneering specialists and your volunteer participants.
The Demonstration Initiative requires our near-continuous presence on site for 2 to 4 weeks, during which we will be assessing the target operation. This process involves gathering existing data and generating new data, plus concurrent synthesis of this data.
This process requires reasonable access to data and people, plus the collaborative assistance of operations executives, managers and improvement pros. To this end, the following client support is very helpful:
Yes. This is common when clients quickly develop confidence in humaneering and when they recognize new opportunities for substantial improvement. We will propose a Project Initiative and credit you for payments received.
